Splendide told me they are designed without a regular lint filter. During the dry cycle you will hear a bit of water which is normal. The water captures the lint from the air and is pumped out with the waste water.

Yes Toni,
There is a big (fat) relay probably in/near the battery compartment. You should hear it click when you activate the battery disconnect switch.
